Coverage of appropriate return transportation costs to your internship site before the start date, utilizing the most cost-effective and direct route from your educational institution, according to the Bank’s travel policy.
A housing allowance of USD 400 and a monthly tax-free stipend of USD 800 for interns moving from their home countries, which are paid at the end of each month to help cover living expenses;
Lodging for one week during the induction time at a hotel selected by the Bank (bed and breakfast only) (on arrival to the internship site for interns, based on their prior location)
After a successful internship program, transfer to the hotel upon arrival and vice versa upon departure; and, if necessary, a relevant residency visa for the duration of the internship program.
Selection Criteria:
You must demonstrate that you were enrolled full-time in undergraduate or graduate programs at an accredited university during the internship year.
Candidates with degrees in economics, business administration, finance, accounting, social sciences, statistics, law, the sciences, engineering, or similar subjects will be of particular interest to the Bank.
You can apply if you are a student of African descent living abroad, a citizen of the member states of the Afreximbank Group, and a non-African student whose goals align with Afreximbank’s aim to transform Africa.
Proficiency in both French and English as well as fluency in both languages. Proficiency in Portuguese or Arabic will be advantageous.
In the year that you apply for the internship, you must be between the ages of 20 and 32.
