Qualification Critiria:
- You must be an international student who wants to further his academic career in the United States of America and have outstanding academic credentials.
- If you are applying for graduation scholarships you must have fulfilled the prerequisite coursework requirements to be admitted to Grand Valley State University’s degree program.
- An F-1 or J-1 student visa must be held or planned at the time you are applying for admission to East Tennessee State University.
- You need to have a track record of success in the classroom.
- To be admitted to an East Tennessee State University graduate program, you must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited or comparable university.
Scholarship Value and Requirements:
- Undergraduate Merit Scholarships
- Blue Scholarship: The award value for this scholarship is $5,000 yearly. You need to have a 3.0 GPA or higher to qualify.
- Gold Scholarship: This scholarship is valued at $7,000 yearly. You require a GPA of 3.5 GPA or higher to be considered for this scholarship
- Elite Scholarship: The award value for this scholarship is $9,000 yearly. You need to have a 3.75 GPA or higher to qualify.
- Graduate Merit Scholarships
- Masters Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is valued at $5,000 yearly. You need to have a 3.0 GPA or higher to qualify.
- Doctoral Merit Scholarship: The award value for this scholarship is $9,000 yearly. You need to have a 3.0 GPA or higher to qualify.
Scholarship Process:
- When selected, your admission letter will contain information about your reward. Within three weeks of the admission letter date, you must choose to accept the scholarship, and fill out and submit the scholarship acceptance form.
- If you are a freshman applying, you require a minimum 3.0 high school GPA on the US 4.0 scale. On a US 4.0 scale, a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0.
How to Apply:
The grant is open to all international applicants admited to East Tennessee State University. If you satisfy the requirements, you will automatically be awarded the scholarship.
