About host Institution:
The Michigan State Normal School, established in 1849, was created with the primary objectives of providing teacher training, offering quality common school education, and teaching agricultural chemistry, mechanic arts, husbandry, and US law.
Over the years, Eastern Michigan University has evolved from a Normal School to a College and is now a university, adapting to the changing needs of society.

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this transformative award, you must fulfill the essential requirements:
- You have to be a senior in high school now preparing to start as a freshman at EMU in the fall of 2025.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 is required.
- A minimum composite ACT score of 25 or a minimum SAT score of 1200
- You do not need to take the SAT or ACT if your GPA is 3.85 or higher.
- To be considered for a scholarship, you must apply to Eastern Michigan University and make sure that all official transcripts and test results are received by the deadline.
Crucial Dates to Keep in Mind:
- By December 13th, 2024, all application materials including your campus visit must be finished and turned in.
- The date of notification for passage to the second round is January 15, 2025.
- The finalists will be invited to the campus for an interview on February 8, 2025. Virtual interviews will be offered to people who live far away from Michigan.
