The SI Award for Global Professionals is an esteemed academic scholarship offered for full-time, one- or two-year master’s study in Sweden.
This scholarship covers more than 700 of Sweden’s 1000 master’s programs that are taught in English, encompassing a wide range of study areas.
Through this program, the Swedish Institute (SI) aims to build a network of future global leaders who will drive development in their home countries and contribute to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Scholarship Benefits:
You enjoy complete tuition fee coverage is one of the competitive benefits of the fully funded Scholarship for Global Professionals. SI pays the cost directly to your Swedish university at the start of the semester.
A SEK 12,000 monthly stipend to help with living expenses during the study term.
Insurance against disease and mishaps.
A SEK 15,000 travel grant of 10,000 for academics from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Armenia. Students who currently reside in Sweden are not eligible for this one-time payment.
Enrollment in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP), a resource to support your career development and networking in Sweden.
You join the SI Alumni Network once your scholarship time has been completed. You have a special chance to continue networking and advancing your career as a member.

The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is open to nationals of the following nations:

You have timely paid the master’s program application fee. The money has been transferred to University Admissions.
On the day of the admissions announcements, be accepted or provisionally accepted into one of the master’s programs that meet the requirements.
Only if you are accepted into the master’s program on March 21, 2024, will you be eligible to receive a scholarship.
You will not be considered for master’s programs in which you are designated as a reserve. Scholarships for late applicants are not offered.
NOTE: The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is not available to you if you:
Enrolled in or have graduated from a Swedish university or university college.
Have lived in Sweden for a total of two years or longer before the scholarship period, which begins in August 2025.
Possess a Swedish Institute scholarship from the past. Past attendees of the Young Professionals Summer Academy at SI. Applicants may still be those who have taken Swedish language summer courses at SI or the Swedish Institute Summer University (SISU).
How to Apply:
Applications for the award are accepted once a year, for master’s programs starting in the fall semester.
Being a citizen of one of the 41 nations that qualify for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is a requirement for applying.
Make an application for a master’s degree that qualifies for the SI scholarship.
Be obligated to pay University Admissions tuition, have proven work experience and leadership experience from employment, either past or present, or in public society.
