Selection Criteria:
You must have a Canadian study permit and be an international student studying in Canada
Must be transferring from the first year of a post-secondary institution or joining UBC from an accredited secondary school
High school graduation must have occurred no earlier than one gap year before the academic year of application for example, November 2023 graduation is required for the 2025 Winter session.
You must be pursuing your first undergraduate degree.
Must exhibit exceptional academic success.
Must demonstrate financial necessity that would prohibit you from earning a degree at UBC.
You must fulfill all prerequisites for admission to UBC, including general, degree-specific, and English language requirements.
Application deadlines:
- Apply by November 15th for the International Scholars Program.
- Complete your online application to UBC on December 1st.
- Fulfill the requirements of UBC Vantage College for the Vantage One Excellence Award or the English Language Admission Standard of UBC for direct admission by January 31st
- Submit all of the paperwork needed for your admission to UBC by January 31st
- Get notified in the middle of April if you’ve been given the scholarship.
