The University of Notre Dame offers the Notre Dame Scholars Program to provide exceptional opportunities for academically outstanding students.
This program offers merit-based scholarships recognizing leadership, academic excellence, and community service.
As a prospective first-year student, you are selected based on your potential to make a positive impact on the world and to honor the legacy of Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., the university’s emeritus president.
The program is highly competitive, with approximately 100 students chosen each year to become part of a vibrant community of future leaders. These students receive up to $25,000 in annual scholarship funds, totaling $100,000 over four years.
Additionally, you may receive substantial funds for leadership, service, and academic initiatives. The Notre Dame Scholars’ Program builds on the success of the Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program, the university’s first merit-based scholarship initiative, which currently supports over 350 students.
The Notre Dame Stamps Scholarship also provides $12,000 in enrichment funds and full tuition coverage.
