The ACPA Graduate Student and New Professionals Community of Practice is thrilled to announce that applications for our 2025 scholarships will be opening soon.
If you are currently a graduate student or a new professional in the student affairs field, this is an incredible chance for you to receive financial assistance to help cover the expenses of attending the ACPA Convention in Long Beach, CA.
The ACPA25 scholarship aims to support you with financial needs related to attending the convention beyond just registration fees. This is a valuable opportunity that can make a real difference in your professional development.
This opportunity includes costs for accommodation, meals, airfare, and other associated expenses. Recipients of this scholarship will be provided with a specific stipend amount to help cover their conference-related costs during ACPA25.
The scholarship will most likely be disbursed in the form of a reimbursement, and additional details regarding this will be communicated upon acceptance of the scholarship..
Convention Registration Scholarship:
If you’re an ACPA Graduate Student or New Professional, the Convention Registration Scholarship will cover the $239 early bird registration fee for the 2025 ACPA Convention in Long Beach, CA. If you don’t register on time or aren’t an ACPA member, you’ll need to cover the extra costs.
To be eligible, you must be a current graduate student (Masters or Doctoral) or in the first 1-5 years of your professional role by the time of the 2025 Annual Convention. You must also plan to attend the 2025 Annual Convention from February 16-19, 2025, in Long Beach, California.
Flat-Rate Scholarship:
This scholarship aims to help cover additional expenses related to attending the Convention, such as hotel, meals, and airfare. This is because we understand that institutions may only provide funding for certain aspects of attendance. Recipients of this scholarship will each receive a fixed stipend to help with conference costs during ACPA25. The scholarship will most likely be given as a reimbursement. More details will be provided upon acceptance.
To be eligible, you should be a current graduate student (Masters or Doctoral) or within the first 1-5 years of your professional role as of the 2025 Annual Convention. You must also plan to attend the 2025 Annual Convention from February 16-19, 2025 in Long Beach, California.
Membership Scholarship
This scholarship is for graduate students or new professionals who can’t attend the Annual Convention due to financial or other reasons. The scholarship will provide a year-long membership to ACPA. With the membership, recipients will be able to access ACPA2GO, the “Journal of College Student Development”, and “About Campus”. The membership also includes access to a network of Entity groups and resources related to the Strategic Imperative for Racial Justice and Decolonization.
To be eligible, you must be a current graduate student (Masters or Doctoral) or in the first 1-5 years of your professional role at the time of application submission.
Application Deadlines:
- Convention Registration Scholarship: Opens August 1st, 2024; Closes September 15th, 2024
- Flat-Rate Scholarship: Opens October 1st, 2024; Closes December 15th, 2024
- Membership Scholarship: Opens October 1st, 2024; Closes December 15th, 2024
