The Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship offers fully funded Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD Degree Scholarships in Germany for the 2024-2025 academic period.
This scholarship program is open to international students.
When selected you will attend comprehensive seminar programs to improve your social competencies and academic skills.
Up to 40 sponsorships are awarded annually, making it an excellent opportunity for highly performing students to study free in Germany.

Academic Qualification Requirement:
- You can apply if you are a responsible, motivated, and reliable individual keen to grow your professional network.
- You must show active engagement in social and political issues and a dedication to the principles of social democracy.
- Proficiency in German is necessary, although the courses are conducted in English
- You must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, with proof of academic success.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Monthly stipend of EUR 750 for Bachelor’s or state examination programs.
- Monthly stipend of EUR 850 for Master’s courses
- Coverage of your health insurance costs
- A family allowance of EUR 276 will be paid to you provided you have a child.
How to Qualify for the Scholarship:
- To qualify for funding, you must show proof of admission or enrollment at a public or state-recognized university or technical college in Germany for your intended course of study.
- You have to exhibit proficiency in the German language.
- Admission to the doctoral scholarship is guaranteed without conditions however you are required to provide evidence of proficient German language skills.
- First-year students, including German citizens and foreign students with previous education, must submit their applications before or at the beginning of their first semester.
How to Apply:

- After submission, you will receive a confirmation email and the selection process may take up to three months.
- If you are shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview, which could be conducted in person or via video conferencing.
