This think tank is headquartered in Bonn and is dedicated to conducting research and developing strategies to address the complex challenges posed by environmental issues and their impact on human well-being.
Program Benefits:
Twelve modules make up the curriculum with ten taught during the first three semesters, after which there is an internship requirement and autonomous study on the master’s thesis.
A minimum of eight-week internship is required as part of the curriculum.

You must be a candidate from one of the qualifying developing nations. Check full list with this LINK
You must have gained, by the time of application, at least two years of relevant job experience following graduation from a bachelor’s degree.
You must have completed your most recent degree within the last six years at the time of application.
Not having earned a previous master’s degree in a related field of study.
Intending to pursue a master’s program career as a practitioner in the development field
You must have a DAAD EPOS scholarship and be prepared to dedicate yourself entirely to the Joint Master’s program, should you be admitted.
The initial higher education credential required of applicants is a bachelor’s degree in geography or a closely related branch of study.
All of your completed coursework, including supplementary coursework and bachelor’s and master’s degrees, must be relevant to one of the following three areas for the majority of your attended classes (as shown in your transcripts):
Physical geography
Geosciences, and
Environmental sciences with an emphasis on Earth System Science
Graduates of engineering-related programs are not the program’s intended audience.
Similarly, graduates with a focus on international relations or related fields will not be taken into consideration unless their background includes a significant connection to environmental issues.
PhD holders or students are not eligible to apply.
Entrance into this master’s program requires a strong desire to contribute to the fields of environmental change risk management and human security. You ought to have a strong desire to learn in an interdisciplinary and multicultural setting.
