The Enterprise Fellowships provide a platform for international students to study for a doctorate at the Royal Academy of Engineering in the United Kingdom.
This program supports entrepreneurial engineers who are innovative and creative and who have demonstrated a remarkable engineering uniqueness and would like to build on it.
The program will equip you with the knowledge, expertise, self-assurance, and network of knowledgeable advisors needed to further your innovation if you are selected.
You qualify if you are a researcher looking to utilize the modern research facilities at the Royal Academy of Engineering to undertake groundbreaking.
Again, you can apply if you are a recent graduate hoping to start your own business.

How Do You Qualify for the Fellowship Program:
- You can apply if you are an international student
- You can apply if you are a researcher hoping to launch your business outside of academia
- Your company has received an equity investment of less than 500,000 GBP.
- You must not be enrolled in our program as a student or work during that time.
- Your business proposal provides a solution that has a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of four or above
- You have earned your first university degree by July 1, 2018
- You are a member of the founding team with the largest stock share in the business.
- You currently hold the position of CEO or COO of the company, or you hope to.
- Fresh graduates looking to launch their own business
- International PhD candidates desiring to launch your business and already residing in the UK
- You are required to be proficient in English
How to Apply for Enterprise Fellowships?

- Select my applications from the menu in the upper left corner after logging in, then pick an application from the list of open applications.
- NOTE: The application process occurs in two phases:
- First phase: You provide a quick introduction to yourself and your proposal. It will take around sixty minutes to finish. We will encourage you to submit a stage two application if you meet the requirements for the program, your idea fits the kind of help we provide, and you are a good fit. In the first stage, the idea’s suitability for the program’s requirements and objectives is the main consideration rather than its quality.
- Second phase: The second stage of the application is longer and will evaluate the idea’s quality as well as your ability to run a startup. It will take you one to three working days to provide further details about the team, the technology, the business model, and yourself. A panel of specialists will assess this section of the application, and if your application is accepted, you will be invited for an interview.
