Benefits of the Scholarship:
- Should you be granted the scholarship, you will only be required to pay the reduced UK tuition rate, which is set at £4,786 for the 2024–2025 school year. This charge is subject to annual increases under UKRI laws, usually by 3%.
- Throughout your entire PhD or Professional Doctorate program at Swansea University, the Swansea University International Postgraduate Research Excellence Scholarship pays the difference in tuition between domestic and international students.
- Your total expenses are decreased because the scholarship money is automatically applied to your tuition.
NOTE:You must ensure that you have enough money to pay for living expenses throughout your study and any tuition that is not covered by your scholarship.
Scholarship Qualification:
- You must have a solid academic foundation. This entails earning a first-class or 2:1 honors degree from a UK university or a degree that is comparable from a foreign institution. A UK Master’s degree with distinction or an international equivalent is also accepted.
- Completing the prerequisites is important. When applying to the selected program, you will have to show extraordinary qualities that go beyond your track record in the classroom.
- Returning or transferring PhD/Professional Doctorate students are not eligible. Current students are also ineligible.
- There is no scholarship available for courses at the Master’s level.
- You are not qualified for the Swansea University International Postgraduate Research Excellence Scholarship if you receive full funding from another institution.
- You must submit an application to Swansea University’s Professional Doctorate or PhD programs. Check the full list with this LINK.
- Only international students who must pay Swansea University’s international tuition costs are eligible for this grant.
