Scholarship Benefits:
Your master’s program of choice is fully funded by the scholarship.
Each month, you will receive a sum of money to help with housing, food, and other essentials.
You will be reimbursed for round-trip economy class travel from your country of residence to the host university. For every journey, you are also awarded a travel stipend.
Throughout the scholarship program, health insurance coverage is given.
A one-time settling-in stipend is included in the additional financial support provided for moving to the host nation.
Selection Criteria:
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must fulfill the following conditions:
Hold citizenship in one of the qualifying World Bank member nations. Holders of two citizenships from industrialized nations are not qualified.
You must have at least three years of paid job experience in development after earning a bachelor’s degree, and be employed in a full-time, paid position linked to development at the time of application. Your work experience must be recent no more than six years.
Three years or more before the application deadline, complete a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
Be accepted without reservation into a master’s program that is affiliated with the Joint Japan and World Bank Graduate Scholarship and located outside of your nation of origin or current place of residence.
You must not be an Executive Director, employee, or a close family member of someone employed in any position by the World Bank Group.
