Internship Benefits:
- You will work 400 hours under a short-term temporary contract, earning between $21.30 (net) and $26.00 (gross) per hour.
- It is planned that every intern will spend the whole internship (May 27–August 4) in person and full-time in Washington, DC. Although HR regulations are subject to change, you must work in the office four days a week at the very least.
- A laptop from the World Bank will be given to each you at the beginning of the program.
- If necessary, the World Bank will sponsor the necessary visa for an intern arriving to work in the US.
Important Things to Note About Internship:
During the period from May 27 to August 4, 2025, the Treasury Summer Internship offers a comprehensive 10-week program based in Washington, DC. The internship begins with an intensive onboarding program to familiarize interns with the organization.
Over the summer, interns have the opportunity to gain valuable experience by rotating through three different Treasury teams for three weeks each.
The program also includes regular talks with the program director and a speaker series providing insights into various career perspectives of Treasury officers, managers, and directors.
With close to 300 employees in the Treasury, interns can interact with and learn from a wide range of professionals, including the Vice President and Treasurer.
Selection Criteria:
In keeping with the objectives of the program, you must fulfill the following basic eligibility conditions.
- You must be prepared to graduate with the equivalent of a four-year college degree between December 2025 and September 2026.
- You must be enrolled in the second to last year of a program leading to a four-year college degree
- You must have a track record of academic integrity at your college or university
- You must be available full-time for the duration of the internship.
- You must not be enrolled in an internship program or hold a concurrent job.
- You may be eliminated or disqualified if it is discovered that you submitted a false application.
